Snappy Tunes

The following melodies are transcribed for both C and F recorders. They are in order by grade of difficulty from easy to advanced . Each addresses a specific technique in playing, therefore use them as practice and study Etudes. Read the comments for each before playing. Work on them all. Some are really easy and some are harder than trying to change your mother-in-law's mind. Don't skip over the easy ones since they will help you improve your intonation, articulation and therefore, artistry. Don't be afraid of the toughies because with practice you will be able to play them.Stay with it - Practice - don't limit yourself! You got this far . . . you should be proud of yourself . . . you're COOL!

If you master all these tunes you will be able to play a great deal of standard recorder repertoire.
